Description
ALMOST as fast as the Carbon S-Lab…but who’s counting
According to Salomon, the Skate S-Lab Yellow Ski is the World Cup athletes’ choice for compact snow, which is the most common surface condition in racing. And, the 569’s low riding responsive camber is moved forward for better acceleration and the edge holds exceptionally well in the early part of the skate stride.
Just like the Carbon, the ski has a G5 Zeolit Universal base which gives worldcup performance base with maximum universal performance + Zeolit additive for better wax absorption and retention. I have no idea what this means but the molecular weight is 9 Mio, and the graphite rate 10%. [If you know what that means please explain it to me!!]
With even more detail…the skis are built using stiff Nomex which is a specific stiff, ultralight composite honeycomb core, combined with carbon, fiberglass wrap and thin wood sidewalls that provide maximum consistency at minimum weight. The benefit of having the stiff Nomex improves specifically the behaviour on warm, compact track conditions for skating : and creates a short pressure zone with high amplitude for edge accelleration and rebound energy.
