If you have any kind of paddle craft that needs some attention, has had a bit of a bash or a full on collision with a garage door we can help!
Our repair technician Peter works with fiberglass, composites, carbon, kevlar, and even some plastics. Using these materials he can repair kayaks, surfskis, stand up paddleboards, surfboards, and paddles. His maxim is: If it floats (or is supposed to) and it fits in the workshop, we can probably fix it. And if it has a leak, he’ll find it and plug it.
Some of Peter’s most memorable repairs include:
- The carbon Evo surf ski that was almost snapped in half
- Converting a Current Designs Speedster surf ski from a double to a single footwell
- Building a new nose for an SUP that had been bounced along the highway at high speed
We also maintain a reasonable stock of kayak spares, and can usually source those that we don’t, although there may be shipping charges.
